Salvation: God's Magnificent Plan

Since the beginning of time it has always been such that the soul that sins shall surely die. This was not so in order for God to have a reason to pour out His wrath on sinful mankind. It had everything to do with a Holy, just God (which we want and need Him to be) not deviating from His standard of righteousness so that His Truth could prevail throughout all eternity.
Instead of lowering Himself (His standard), He raised us up to meet it. God foreseeing that all mankind would...

Praying with All Manner of Prayer

Many people do not realize there are different types of prayer and that each type carries with it certain rules by which you must abide.  It's somewhat like sports. There are different rules for different kinds of sports. Basketball, football, soccer, golf, and baseball are all popular sports, but neither can be played using the same set of rules or the games would be a disaster!
Likewise, when we pray, we have to abide by the laws that govern those prayers or....

Houdini's Dilemma

It appears believers everywhere are striving for the same things without understanding what the Lord has already provided in and through His Son. Harry Houidini's dilemma describes it...

The Blessing!

Recently I met a man before starting my work day.  I gave a familiar salutation, and asked, "How are you doing?"
He replied, “I’m blessed!”
I proceeded to inquire what he meant by his reply; but like many, he was just use to saying “I'm blessed” without any understanding of what it meant...

God is in Control? Not The Way You Think!

"The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, (Jehovah); but the earth He has given to the sons of men." (Psalm 115:16) In a time when anything goes, how do you navigate through the confusion to arrive at the truth? Many say, "God is in control," but is He?  Read along as Dale tackles this question with answers that could transform your life.

The Holy Spirit: Our Image Consultant

Looking to others to tell you how you should look, act, believe, or speak?  Why? To be accepted, validated or loved?  God's Word says we, by the Holy Spirit, should be conformed to the image of His dear Son.

A few years back, I heard a sermon by Pastor Marvin Winans, which I think was titled "Image is Everything."  It reminded me of a time, about 25 years ago, when the Lord began dealing with me regarding the concept of image.  I decided I would become an...

The Compliment: Rest in the Storm!

Each of us likes to receive compliments, especially from people we admire.  One morning, the Holy Spirit shared with me how we can pay the Lord one of the greatest compliments ever by simply....

Never A Reason to Worry, Never A Reason to Fear

No matter the trial or obstacle, the Word of God is all you need to overcome. The question is: How much do you trust that your belief in His Word is all you need?

Take a moment to refresh yourself in the knowledge that God is committed to you. How...

How Do You See?

My goal was to place pictures, articles, Scriptures and other motivational materials inside one folder that I could use to envision and meditate on the dreams and desires that I had for my life.  It was to be my very own vision board.  When I reached the point of working on the pages dedicated to the personal things I desired, specifically, a new house, I searched magazines for a picture I could include. Then, I turned the page to see what I thought was the perfect representation of the house I desired, but noticed I would not cut it out.  I CHOKED!

The Lavish Father & His Foolish Sons

God’s idea of sonship far exceeds the norm.  In the Scriptures, a certain man had two sons, the younger commonly referred to as prodigal.[1]  That son begged his father to give him his inheritance.  He wanted to leave his father’s home and go out on his own.  What is of note is the request did not equate to something as simple as saying, “Daddy, give me my money.”  To request his inheritance while his father was still living was a grave thing....

Press On

Fatigue can prove to be a great foe when you're working toward achieving your goals.  One year, I was driving from Atlanta to visit my family in Memphis.  That particular day, I was a bit tired as I started my journey.  A couple of hours into the drive, I began to feel I could not make it any farther.  So, I decided to pull to the side of the highway since no exit was immediately in sight. ....

First Minister to Me, Then Help My People Overcome

We stood before the choir attempting to share with them the Word of the Lord that we, individually, had received.  My friends and I wanted this particular choir to have a deeper revelation of the Word of God and a greater influence in the community where they conducted worship services.  It was a challenging encounter since the information we were to share was not all joyful. Some was lovingly corrective. The choir director started a healing line.  I completely did not expect that.  Why? Because ...

"I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word...
Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works...
Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart...."
Psalm 119:15,16 ,27,34
